Roshni Nuggehalli
Roshni K. Nuggehalli is Executive
Director at Youth for Unity and
Voluntary Action (YUVA) an Indian
development organisation set up
in 1984. YUVA’s work questions
social structures alongside the
poor, with the goal of empowering
them to participate in a process of
meaningful change. YUVA aims to
address poverty and injustice
through community interventions,
research and policy advocacy.
Roshni works on issues related to
youth and child rights, climate
justice, the informal economy, and
urbanisation. She has published on
themes of participation, youth
citizenship and climate justice. She
takes particular interest in value-
based organisational building
processes and embedding feminist
practices of leadership.

تشغل روشني ك. نغيهالي منصب المديرة التنفيذية في "شباب من أجل الوحدة والعمل التطوعي"، وهي منظمة تنموية تأسست عام 1984 في الهند. يعمل برنامج المنظمة على مُساءلة البُنى الاجتماعية والتركيز على الفئات الفقيرة، بهدف تمكينها من المشاركة في مسار يُحدث تغييراً جوهرياً وذا معنى. تهدف المنظمة إلى معالجة قضايا الفقر ومواجهة الظلم من خلال المشاريع المجتمعية، والبحوث، والدعم السياسي. تعمل روشني على قضايا تتعلّق بحقوق الشباب والأطفال، والعدالة المناخية، والاقتصاد غير الرسمي، والتحضّر. كما نشرت أبحاثاً حول موضوعات المشاركة، والمواطنة الشبابية، والعدالة المناخية، وتُولي اهتماماً خاصاً بعمليات بناء المنظمات على أساس القيم، وبترسيخ الممارسات النسوية في أساليب القيادة.
