As part of the second edition of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial, Al Manakh Spaces hosted participants Alessandro Petti and Sandi Hilal of DAAR. Building on their “Living Room” initiative, Sandi and Alessandro led a harvesting and cooking session alongside SAT staff, transforming the farm’s produce into a shared meal.
Freshly picked tomatoes, kale, spinach, and cucumbers were prepared together with traditional Palestinian recipes, including Mujadara (rice and lentils) and Daqqa Gazawiya. This act of cooking and eating together created a space that moved beyond formal structures of work, highlighting the farm’s role not only as a site of cultivation but also as one of hospitality, cultural exchange, and collective care.
