As part of the Al Manakh Spaces initiative and its mandate to engage in conversations around green living within the city, SAT has initiated the set-up of an urban garden at Al Qasimiyah School. This planting workshop involved local residents and neighbors in this set-up by allowing them to plant a section of the urban farm themselves whilst receiving instruction and information from our farming consultant regarding the farm, permaculture, soil building and soil health. By partaking in this formative stage of building this community urban farm, we hope that participants, old and new, are able to forge a connection and investment in the future development of the initiative.
